In the evenings, we sit at the bar of our hotel, drink cocktails or a glass of ouzo, listen to music, and enjoy the mild Cretan nights. The atmosphere is relaxed; everyone seemscontent and at ease. We often play board games or chat with the bartender – about life onthe island, guests from around the world, or simply about the day. It’s these simple, honest moments that stay in your heart. Everything feels slower, more peaceful – as if time stands still for a moment.
