From Gouves, we’ve taken many excursions over the years: to Heraklion with its lively market and archaeological museum, to Rethymno with its charming old town, to Agios Nikolaos with the deep blue Lake Voulismeni, to Hersonissos with its colorful nightlife, and even to the neighboring island of Santorini – an unforgettable experience.
A special adventure was the hike through the Samaria Gorge in the west of the island – impressive rock walls, silence, pure nature, and a feeling of freedom you never forget.
The trip to Lake Kournas also remains unforgettable – surrounded by green hills, crystal- clear water, and small turtles curiously appearing between the boats.
And then there was the Balos Lagoon, a place like a dream: turquoise water, white sand, and a view you’ll never forget.
